Young Artists Ensemble’s
“The Witch’s Princess”
Fall 2023

I had the honor of Assistant Directing, designing and building props for a local youth production!

It was a comedy play with a medieval / fantasy theme, which allowed for a LOT of fun and creativity.

Over the course of roughly two months, I built multiple sets of child-sized knight armor, tons of different weapons, a cardboard boombox, a manipulatable goose head, severed body parts, and so much more. I made roughly 50 props total!

The best part was seeing the kids get super excited to wield whatever wacky new things I brought in!
And when the production ended, the theatre company paid for the props, so whenever they need knight helmets, swords or a halberd, they’ll have it ready to roll~
