Frequently Asked Questions!
COMMISSIONS
I’m a cosplayer or collector, can you build something for me?
Short answer is, maybe! If I am accepting \Commission Requests, I can see if I can make your build happen with my schedule. You can find more information here.
I’m a company or organization, can we collaborate together?
Sure! I’m always looking to expand my portfolio, and would love the opportunity to work with you. I am a part-time creator with a combined >10,000 followers. I can assist any advertising campaigns you have in mind by designing and building a neat prop! If you’re interested in working with me, please email me at chrisekaicosplay@gmail or contact me here.
Can I buy your cosplay or prop?
No. Each cosplay I build takes a great deal of time and resources, and putting a fair price on that would be outrageously expensive.
ORDERING
Where is the file I purchased?
Patterns are delivered by a digital download that is emailed to you and available for download via link after checkout. Double-check your email’s Junk folder, but if it hasn’t shown up, you can always access your downloads via your account page on my website! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or if something is not working properly.
I accidentally ordered my file twice!
No worries! Please reach out to me and I can help.
I purchased the wrong file by mistake!
That’s fine, as long as you haven’t downloaded the file yet I can help you! Unfortunately, if you’ve already downloaded the product, my terms of sale will not allow me to offer a refund.
Can I get a refund for my purchase?
If you’ve already downloaded the product, I will be unable to process a refund. If the file hasn’t been download yet, please reach out and I can assist you.
PATTERNS
You should make a pattern for __________! It’d be really cool!
I’m sure it would be really cool! At this time however, one of the exclusive perks of my Patreon page is being able to suggest and vote on new patterns to be created each month! Check it out and help support my gender transition!
How do I print the patterns to-scale?
When you go to print your files, make sure the scale is set to 100%. My patterns come preformatted for US Standard 8.5×11″ printing paper, so you don’t have to worry about breaking up the pages for printing.
How do I scale-down a pattern to make it smaller / shorter?
Instead of printing at 100% scale, simply decrease the scale! For example, printing a pattern at 90% or 80% will result in a smaller or shorter piece. Experiment a bit with printing until you find a scale that works for you!
What about scaling-up a pattern to make it larger / longer?
Because I preformat my patterns for an 8.5×11″ size paper, increasing the scale to 110%, 120%, etc. could lead to some details being cut off. If a pattern has a long shaft area or handle, you can potentially extend a prop by adding a few inches there. You can also contact me and request a Full-Page PDF version of the prop that is unformatted so you can upscale it and print it yourself!
What languages are your tutorials available in?
Currently all of my tutorials are only in English.

How do I build __________?
While I would love to sit down and help you brainstorm how to approach building a specific cosplay or prop, there just aren’t enough hours in a day. You can check out my blog to see approaches I’ve used to build different props and apply that information towards your own projects!
OTHER
Where are you based?
I live in California, USA in the Los Angeles area.
Can you come to my local convention or event?
If it’s relatively local, sure! I would love to attend, I just need an invitation! Write to the event organizers and let them know that you would love to see me as a guest. Ask your friends to write as well; the more people reach out, the greater the chance that I’ll be invited.
